Crafting

As some of you may know, I have started to craft.
In the beggining it was just some crochet, now I
also make my own greeting cards and envelopes.
Newt, my son, has made a web site for me.
Rose's Crafts is in its first steps.
Newt is my web designer and manager :o)
He will be updating the site every week as I make
new crafts.
I hope you take a min or two to visit Rose's Crafts.
Let me know what you think, please.

Lonely place

Hello again!!!
I have not posted because my life is the same every day.
Today I took my son to work ( I drove, shame on me!), and
on the way back I decided to stop at the store and get a few
things.
Sometimes I just feel like going out by myself.  I know I
am not supposed to and I am grateful to all the members of
my family who have the patience to take me to Michael's, Wall Mart
and so forth.  However, sometimes I feel like going out alone just
to have the feeling that I can do it still.
Anyway, I got a few things and then went to check out.  This particular
store accepts only cash or debit cards.  Of course I bought more than
I had cash to pay for, but I thought I was fine because I had my debt
card and just today, for the 50th time, I memorized the pin number.
The cashier gave me my total, by this time there was this huge line
behind me, I swiped my card and then, the moment arrived, the
machine read "enter PIN number."  Well, of course this had to
happen to me, my mind went blank, I could not remember the
number. I did not FORGET the PIN, it was gone from my mind.
It is a horrible feeling. A feeling of frustation, agony, anxiety...
I could hear the people behind me, and I knew that they were
in a hurry, wondering what was going on with the not so old
lady and why she could not just enter the magic four digits.
Well, that's when seconds start to seem like eternity.
Finally, after a min or so, it came back to me.
Not like something you forget and then you remember.  More like
a file that you know you saved to your hard drive, you know it's
there, but you cannot retrive it for some odd reason.
The feeling when this happens and I finally am able to "retrieve"
the information I need, is not one of accomplisment or relief, but one
of helplessness.
My mind goes to places I don't want it to go. I cannot control it.  It's
scary and lonely there. It's a place where I cannot even remember the most
trivial information. It's not a place of forgetfullness, it's a place of just nothing.
Well, life goes on.

I might be back

After a few months of exile from the blog world, I decided to stop by and give my blog another chance.
I have had lots of stuff going on with me, however most of them are not pleasant and I refuse to use my blog to complain.

I have taken up crafting, more specifically crochet.  Also I now make my own greeting cards.  I have fun make them and giving them to friends.  It is nice when something I made brings a smile to somebody else's face :o)

I miss my job a lot.  I just went to the office where I worked and had lunch with them.  They miss me too.   I also realized that the doc I worked for, misses me too.

What I miss the most is taking care of my patients, comforting them, and assisting the doc with the surgeries.

Well, my life has changed a lot in these past several months.  I am still trying to cope with such radical changes.  It's very hard, but I guess I'll make it somehow.

I am going to ask my son to upload some pictures of my crochet stuff so you guys can see.  Now I have been in the mood to make crochet flowers and then we can use them as pins.  They are very much in right now.

If  anyone of you would like one, let me know!!!

Romans Road

If you died today, do you know 100% for sure that you would go to Heaven or would
you have some doubt?

1. The first thing God wants us to know is that we are all sinnners.

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

2. The second thing God wants us to know is that there is a penalty for sin.

Romans 6:23a - "For the wages of sin is death."
Revelation 21:8 - "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the
lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

3. The third thing God wants us to know is that Jesus died for us and His death is the only
hope we have to make it to Heaven.

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 - "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

4. The fourth thing is this...we must believe that Jesus is the Lord and ask Him to save us.

Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Prayer: "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve to go to Hell.
Please forgive my sin. Come into my heart, save me, and take me to Heaven when I die.
In Jesus' Name, Amen."

First date

Twenty-three years ago today, dad and I went in our first date.
Even though a bunch of people said that our marriage would not last six months,
we are still here.
We have been through a lot in these 23 years. Good and bad things happened.
I remember that when we started to date, we could not keep our hands off of each
other (sorry kids, LOL) Well, guess what??? We are still that way. And I don't mean
that way (you guys have a sick mind); what I mean is that we hold hands, we miss
each other when he's at work for the whole day, I have to call him everyday or he
gets mad at me :o)
Sometimes we could not stand each other. But we worked things out, always.
One way or another, we stick together and with the help of our Lord, we always make
it.
I hope we still have another 23 years together. And then we will have eternity.
Talking about that, will we remember who our spouses are in heaven? Are we going to be
"married" to them there? How about people who have been married more than once? :o)
Any scholars of the Bible out there? LOL
Give me some input here will ya? :o)

Blogging

So people, here I am. I will post.
What am I going to post about? The lack of desire to post.
I don't know what happened to me but I don't feel like posting anymore.
Post about what?
I guess my brain is fried or something. Or maybe I am just plain old.
I feel like I don't belong in the blog world.
So I guess that is it. If I can think of a good subject to post about it, I'll be back.
Till then, see ya.

LIFE VERSE

So I have not been able to come and post. You know, you have
to actually think (at least a little), before you post, and just to sit
at the comp for a few minutes makes me tired. Yeah, I baked some
snickerdoodles and that made me tired too, but I like to spoil my children.
Sorry E, I promise I will bake those little darn things on Easter when you are here.
I just came to share with you guys my life verse today. Might not seem like
much of an entry, but maybe you can read it and think about it. Or maybe your
life verse is the same as mine. If it is, let me know.
I know someone very dear to me who has the same life verse :o)
Here it is:

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men."
Colossians 3:23 KJV

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
Colossians 3:23 NIV

I think that when you are out there at school/work or whatever and you have your
responsibilities, you have always to remember that you have to do your best. Maybe
you don't have a great boss, or the best teacher, it doesn't matter. You have to do your
best because you are doing for the Lord and HE is the BEST and HE is above that boss
and that teacher.

There you have it.
If you don't mind, share your life verse with us. That would be really neat!!!

US OF A

It has been ten years since we first moved to this country and I still am in awe
with so many daily things that I wonder if other people notice.
Most things we have here they don't have down there in South America. I will try
to list a few so you guys who have not been down there yet will get my point.
Central A/C! Man's second best invention. The first one was anesthesia and analgesics.
Soda machines. Aren't they wonderful? I love them! Specially on summer time.
Wash machines and dryers. There are a few people down South who can afford a washing
machine. Maybe 2% of the population. The rest of the population have to do their wash
by hand. Maybe 10% can afford to hire a maid to do it for them (we were in those 10%),
the rest they have to do themselves. Dryers??? Nope.
I was thinking the other day (that was dangerous, me thinking? LOL), just picture this, you
are walking down the street, you decide to eat a candy bar, you unwrap your Milkyway,
what do you do with the wrapping? Just throw it on the ground! Disgusting huh? Or, same
situation, but you are riding in your car, just throw the wrapping thru the window. I am
talking about everybody doing that. So you have litter all over the place.
Stray dogs and cats roam the streets. There's no such agencies as Humane Society or
Animal Control.
The highways are a joke! The interstates are a two-lane road. Every time, I mean, every
time you get on the road, you see fatalities. Very sad.
I could go on and on, but I think these will do.
One day I was questioning God why He let me be born there if He gave me so much
love for this country. It would be so much easier for my family and I if we had been born
here.
His answer was so clear. If I were born here I would take everything for granted like
so many people do. He wanted me to appreciate every day He has given me here in this
wonderful land.
That's why when I see a school bus stop and all traffic stop behind it I am in awe.
Every tree, every soda machine, drive thru, I-95 (even in construction), cable, A/C,
and so on, reminds me of how blessed I am to have been granted by my Lord the privilege
to live here.
People, let's not take our land for granted. And most important of all, let's remember
America's foundation, our Constitution, our Founder Fathers... our US of A
